This new model drum/kick mike is rapidly becoming an industry standard, & those of us who remember the original D12 will find many similarities with this model. Drummers & sound guys have tested these microphones live on stage & in the studio & found they produce a well defined bass drum sound with a rounded sub 100Hz bass end. Also excellent for close miking up bass amps, they really do excel, offering a more musical alternative to direct injection, giving more warmth to the sound.
